IMHO, the countach looks better ... except for those red reflectors around it's tail lights.

The Aventador is 1mm wider than the Murcielago, but it doesn't have the tapper so it doesn't look like it has hips, which is kind of sad :'(

IMHO the older the Lamborghini the better.

The Countach has always been tied with the Diablo for my favorite Lamborghini so I definitely agree with you.
I prefer the rear of the later models though.

I would have to say the diablo is my favorite of the "batshit" era lambos. I've seen (and sat in) a miura in real life once, though and my god ... it is UTTERLY drop-dead gorgeous!

Indeed

Well the Miura is one lovely lady. No wedge shaped silliness there, just curvaceous beauty.

Hardly the worst, though. The tires seem to have the most bloat, which is good with all that power!

Yes, it is very, very pretty. I had a chat with the owner, though, and they are quite tricky to maintain. Not a cheap car to run by any means. The performance isn't that amazing by modern standards, but the noises it makes are just ... so ... damn ... sweet. It has that classic old school V12 bellow. The transmission makes the right kind of whiney noises. There's clutch chatter, etc, etc. Very mechanical. Very glorious.

I thought the Countach had the widest tires ever fitted to a production car?

Wow, never noticed how drastic the difference was!
I sat in a Countach once. It's very low and not fun to get in/out of. Super awkward.

The later ones did.
They also got flares and wings.

The 25th anniversary edition Countaches seem to look more bloated than most modern lambos.

Also I do have my flamesuit on just in case...

I agree, they just kept adding crap onto it.

I'd probably attribute the appearance of later Countaches and their "designed by a hyperactive 11-year old" look to knowing their market and the requisite coke-tastic appearance. I mean if the rear deck lid is a good place to snort coke, a wing HAS to be better!
Admittedly it's not just Lambos, any time I see an '80s era supercar I wish there was a drug dog nearby so I could watch its brain melt from overstimulation...
